(ANSA) - LUBIANA - Following recent terror attacks in
Barcelona and Finland, ''it is necessary to intervene firmly and
timely to protect citizens. We have to build a fence along our
borders, in order to protect Slovenia and prevent clandestine
migrants from entering the country'', said Branko Gomis, deputy
president of the SDS opposition party, led by former
conservative prime minister Janez Jansa, at a press conference.
On this occasion, Gomis invited politicians to use every
democratic means to ''defeat radical Islam, otherwise we will
have neither peace, nor security''.
Gomis then added that some of the attackers who hit several
targets across Europe in 2017 entered the Union among the mass
migrant flow which also crossed Slovenia in recent years.
