Easyjet Europe company based in Vienna after Brexit
Asks for an EU flight certificate to protect business
14 July, 11:09 (ANSA) - ROME - EasyJet Europe, a new flagship company based
in Vienna, was set up by the British Air Group to protect its
flying rights in sight of Brexit. EasyJet has chosen Austria as
the country where to apply for a flight certificate and where to
set up the headquarters of the new company.
EasyJet needs a flight certificate (AOC) in a European country to fly between member countries after Brexit. "The process of accreditation is ongoing and we hope to receive the AOC shortly," stated the company.
