Russia destroys 700 tonnes of Polish apples

Imported regardless the embargo

24 March, 17:23
(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Russian authorities have destroyed 700 tonnes of apples imported from Poland regardless the embargo, Polskie radio reported. The ban on the import of fruit and vegetables has been introduced by Russia in August 2014, following the EU sanctions against Moscow due to the Ukrainian crisis. Since then, the export of fruit from Poland fell by 10%, while a 19% drop has been registered in terms of vegetables export.
