CEI: 9th South East Europe Media Forum in Bucharest

Focus on media struggling to survive on the web

(ANSA) - BUCHAREST - The 9th edition of the South East Europe Media Forum (Seemf) opened in Bucharest. The forum is the most important conference in the field of journalism and media in Eastern Europe.

The forum is going on until tomorrow in the Romanian capital.

The first day was marked by a heated debate on the relationship between media and politics in Romania, after the fall of the government led by Ponta.

On this occasion, the CEI-SEEMO awards for outstanding investigative journalism and the Freedom House Romania and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Kas)award for the young journalist of the year have been presented.

This year the Forum will primarily focus on media struggling to survive on the web. Among the Forum organisers, South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), Central European Initiative (CEI) and Kas. (ANSA).
