In Germany the lowest birth rate in the world

8,3 newborn babies every 1.000 inhabitants, worst than Japan

(ANSA) - BERLIN - Germany became the country with the lowest birth rates in the world, a study of the auditing company Bdo and of the Hamburg World Economic Institute shows. According to the research, in the last five years the average birth rate in Germany fell to 8,3 births per 1.000 inhabitants, just below the value registered in Japan. In the EU, only Portugal (8,9) and Italy (9,2) have values closer to the German one. (ANSA).
