(ANSA) - TRIESTE, SEP 12 - An open-air exhibition will open in Trieste, designed to make visitors reflect on the precarious balances that arose in Europe after the Great War. Amid disputed regions and cities and poised borders, those scenarios led 20 years later to World War II. So it is "After the Great War. A New Europe 1918 - 1923," an international exhibition in Trieste from Sept. 15 to Oct. 11, 2022, at Largo Panfili. The project was co-funded by the European Union and promoted by ERNS European Network Remembrance and Solidarity in collaboration with an international team of scholars and historians.

In the Julian capital, the exhibition arrives after touring 12 European countries and major capitals across Europe, such as Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Dublin, Vilnius, Tallinn, and Sarajevo. The exhibition will offer the public an opportunity to look at hundreds of photographs, documents, and other archival materials that tell the story of the Central European territories and appreciate the accounts of those who lived through the time after World War I.
