Italy-Bosnia: Grasso, Adriatic-Ionian Initiative 'important'
Senate's president will participate 13th Conference in Neum

(ANSA) - SARAJEVO - ''Italy strongly supports the
Adriatic-Ionian Initiative and the Strategy for the
Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, approved by the European Council
during the Italian presidency of the EU, aiming to strengthen
trade and political relations within this area and to accompany
the accession into the EU of the countries which do not yet take
part in it''. This was underlined today in Sarajevo by Italy's
Senate President Pietro Grasso, on his official visit to the
Balkan country. Grasso will speak tomorrow at Neum, on the
occasion of the 13th Conference of the Presidents of Parliaments
of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative. (ANSA).
