(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MAR. 4 - ''All the ideas we share on the strategy are now materializing'' and ''some other countries are interested in joining the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, especially the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia''. This is what Ivan Jakovcic, Croatian MEP, said at a conference organized by the Region of Molise in Brussels, on the project Com & Marina Cap Med, in order to recap the situation which the territories of the eight countries involved in the European strategy (four EU members, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Greece, along with four non-EU members, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia) are currently experiencing.

Jakovcic, EP rapporteur - in the Committee for regional development - on the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region (Eusair), is holding a round of talks in all the countries involved, ''in order to develop, by June, the draft document that should be submitted to the plenary in Strasbourg in October''. ''I'd like to write a report on the concrete actions planned and developed within the strategy of the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region'', Jakovcic underlined. (ANSA).
