Coronavirus: Croatia, first reopening phase is underway

Most of the shops reopen, with rules, there are 2,039 cases

(ANSA) - ZAGREB, APRIL 27 - Coronavirus has caused another four deaths in Croatia since yesterday, and 9 new positive cases have been reported over the past 24 hours. The Civil Protection Crisis Unit reported, adding that 59 people have died since the beginning of the epidemic, and the overall number of infected people has reached 2,039, including 1,166 who recovered from the infection.

All the deceased were either elderly people or patients suffering from serious chronic diseases. Twenty-one people are in critical health conditions at the moment.

The first phase of the relaxation of restrictions began today. Almost all the shops and craft shops reopened, except the shopping centers and hairdressers, but with the obligation to observe strict hygiene measures and interpersonal distance.

The places of worship will reopen on Sunday, and bookstores, libraries, museums, hairdressers, and beauticians will also be allowed to work in a week. (ANSA).
