Coronavirus: Serbia, first passenger flight to Belgrade

After two months of closure. Prevention and safety measures

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 18 - The first passenger flight after the suspension of air links on March 19 due to the coronavirus crisis arrived at Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade today. An airplane operated by the low-cost airline Wizz Air coming from London landed just before noon with about a hundred passengers on board.The national airline Air Serbia will resume regular flights on May 21st. At the airport, all prevention and security measures are in place to contain the infection. During two months of closure to passenger traffic, Belgrade airport has only operated humanitarian flights and for the supply of medical material, in particular from China. (ANSA)
