(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 18 NOV - A large factory for assembling
bicycles will be built in the Romanian city of Timisoara, said
the town's mayor Nicolae Robu, local media reported. The factory
will be the largest of this type in Southeastern Europe and will
employ up to 3,000 people. The forecasted production is 1.5
million bicycles per year. The 30-million-euros investment will
also help absorbing the "the workforce made redundant after the
closure of Nestle confectionery factory in Timisoara this
January," Robu added, quoted by the portal Romania Insider.
Romania is one of the biggest bicycle producers at EU level,
with more than one million units produced per year, Romania
