(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 11 - Serbia has opened to traffic
the entire eastern arm of Corridor 10, linking the city of Nis
to the border with Bulgaria, on November 9, local media
reported.
The opening ceremony, in the presence of Serbian President
Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Bulgarian Prime
Minister Boyko Borisov, marked officially "the end of the works
on that corridor, whose total length through Serbia is 813 km,",
while the Nis-Dimitrovgrad is 86.9 km in total, the Serbian
government said in a statement.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided 265 million
euro for the construction of the Corridor 10 highway, 40% of the
total costs of the infrastructure project, the specialized
portal SeeNews reported. Corridor 10 will connect Salzburg to of
Thessaloniki, passing through Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and
North Macedonia, SeeNews added. (ANSA).
