AdriaWealth: convention audiovisual art

Meetings and talks on Adriatic cross-border cooperation

28 September, 20:33
(ANSA) - SPLIT, SEPT. 28 - The contribution of audiovisual art to tourism and all its economic, social and cultural aspects is one of the themes of the 3rd convention of AdriaWealth, which opened today in Split with the participation of Italian and Croatian representatives and experts.

The AdriaWealth project, funded by the IPA Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013, aims to create some public-private networks to capitalise on the results obtained from the previous five IPA projects (Archeo, S.Artvision, Adriacold, Medpath, Roofofrock). AdriaWealth's main objective is to develop and disseminate best practices experienced in the field of sustainable tourism, in order to enhance the artistic and cultural heritage, and natural resources management. Led by the Public Theater Pugliese, AdriaWealth includes the Puglia Region among its partners, is supported by Apulia Film Commission and Pino Pascali Museum Foundation, and involves regions overlooking the Adriatic Sea, and its goal is to facilitate contacts between countries and encourage shared initiatives. The project is in line with the strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, especially with the 'fourth pillar' for the development of sustainable tourism. Beside the Puglia Region, the other project partners are the AREA Science Park in Trieste, Public Institution RERA SD for coordination and development of Split-Dalmatia County (Croatia), the Institute of geological research in Slovenia, the municipality of Fier (Albania), HERAG - Development agency of West Herzegovina County (BiH). ''We want to support sustainable development by bringing together operators and enhancing the local products and local supply chains in any territory'', said Lino Manosperta, project manager of the Apulian Public Theatre.
