(ANSA) - UDINE, 09 GIU - ROME, JUNE 8 - "The project of the Piedmont, Fvg, Umbria, Basilicata, and Puglia regions aims to build green hydrogen production sites in disused industrial areas. It helps stimulate growth and create jobs. It brings us closer to our energy and climate goals, which the government is determined to pursue with increasing conviction." So said Italy's Prime Minister Mario Draghi about the Hydrogen Valley project at signing protocols for the first NRP flagship projects with the Regions at Palazzo Chigi (Rome). "We presented a project for the Hydrogen Valley. It is the first European region; it is the first European Hydrogen Valley. It is the beginning of a path," said the President of Italy's conference of regions and FVG governor Massimiliano Fedriga.

"It is essential that institutions collaborate more and more to make the RRP a successful experience and access European funding. We need maximum synergy between the different institutional levels, municipal, regional, and national, so that the measures can be implemented quickly but, above all, can be useful for the future of our country." "Today, we have dealt with six flagship projects: Liguria, which concerns the IRCCS, and five that concern research on hydrogen, sustainable energy, energy transition, and especially energy supply, and involving five regions. These projects will be the national best practices in terms of application and research and especially the implementation of hydrogen supply both for the industrial sector and all the other sectors. So it's really crucial to get this supply quickly in our country." (ANSA).
