Italian-Slovenian officers together for controls

(ANSAmed) - TRIESTE, JUNE 28 - Joint patrols will kick off on
Monday to control the territory at the border between Italy and
Slovenia to stem the flow of illegal arrivals in Friuli Venezia
Giulia from the eastern border.
Slovenian police officers as of July 1 will share patrol duties with their Italian colleagues aboard police cars in Italian territory while Italian officers will join their Slovenian colleagues to patrol Slovenian territory.
No members of the military will be deployed. (ANSAmed).
