Automotive: German Draexlmaier opens plant in Moldova
30 million-euro investment in Cahul Free Economic Zone

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUGUST 28 - The German automotive
component supplier Draexlmaier Group opened a new plant in the
Cahul Free Economic Zone, in Moldova, through a 30-million euro
investment, the specialized portal Emerging Europe reported.
The new factory in Cahul, which will produce electrical cable systems for cars, is the third facility of Draexlmaier in the country. More than 1,500 people will be employed at the new plant, bringing the number of people employed by Draxlmaier in Moldova to over 5,000, Emerging Europe said. The German company operates also in Romania, Serbia and North Macedonia. (ANSA).
