(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APRIL 1 – A total of 86870 confirmed
cases of coronavirus (+6419 day-on-day), 61913 in Germany only,
and 940 deaths (+183) were registered in countries in Central-
and Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria and Greece as March 31,
according to official data of national authorities collected by
the World Health Organization (WHO).
Most of cases of COVID-19 in the area were registered in
Germany (61913, +4615 in the last 24 hours, 583 deaths),
followed by Austria (9618, +805, 108 deaths), Czech Republic
(3002, +173), Poland (2055, +193), Romania (1952, +192), Greece
(1212, +56), Croatia (790, +77), Serbia (785, +44), Slovenia
(763, +33), Estonia (715, +36), Ukraine (549, +69), Lithuania
(484), Hungary (447), Latvia (376), Bulgaria (359, +13),
Bosnia-Herzegovina (359, +34), Slovakia (336), Moldova (298,
+35), North Macedonia (285, +26), Albania (223), Belarus (152)
Kosovo (106, +12), Montenegro (91, +6).
In Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania and in the Western
Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo,
North Macedonia, Albania) 5713 confirmed cases and 111 deaths
were registered until March 31.
Austria has registered 1080 cases of COVID-19 per million,
followed by Germany (744), Estonia (538), Slovenia (369) and
Czechia (281).
In the region Austria has also registered the highest number
of deaths per one million population (12,13), followed by
Germany (7,01) and Slovenia (5,32). (ANSA).
