(ANSA) - TRIESTE, JUNE - On June 27, 1991, eleven years after Tito's death, a process of secession began and the invasion of Slovenia by the federal army started the war in Yugoslavia, which would continue for years, involving all the countries of the former federation. The war ended in 1995 after a series of terrible atrocities and massacres, expulsions, deportations, ethnic cleansing and mass rape. (ANSA).
