(ANSA) - SARAJEVO, JULY 9 - The second day of the summit of
the South-East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) opened this
morning at Jahorina, a mountain resort town a few kilometers
away from Sarajevo. The summit aims to strengthen collaboration
and trust, in support of peace and stability in a "sensitive"
area. Heads of state of Turkey take part in the summit. Turkey's
heads of state take part in the summit and the head of Bosnia's
tripartite presidency, the Bosnian Serb Milorad Dodik, presides
over it.
The meeting is attended by Turkey's head of state Recep
Tayyip Erdogan, Montenegro's Milo Djukanovic, North Macedonia's
Stevo Pendarovski and Albania's Iljir Meta, and Serbia's and
Bulgaria's premiers, Ana Brnabic and Boyko Borissov, and some
representatives for the other SEECP member countries. Kosovo
boycotted the meeting in protest since Pristina deemed
'humiliating' the way in which the country was invited. Albania,
in a sign of solidarity with Kosovo, deserted yesterday's
meeting between foreign ministers. However, president Meta is
attending the Jahorina summit today. The summit will close in
conjunction with the end of the SEECP rotating presidency which
Bosnia and Herzegovina held until now, and which Kosovo will
take over. An unprecedented situation since there will be no
representative for Pristina to take up the baton. (ANSA).
