Hungary: GDP up 5% y/y in third quarter
Erste reviewing forecast due 'strong economic performance'

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 15 - The gross domestic product
in Hungary grew 5.0% according to raw data and by 4.8% according
to adjusted data in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the
corresponding period of the previous year, the Hungarian Central
Statistical Office (KSH) said. The main contributors to the
growth were industry, construction and market-based services,
KSH added.
Compared to the previous quarter, the gross domestic product
grew by 1.1%.
The third quarter figures "surprised to the upside," Erste Group Research said in a statement, adding that "based on the strong economic performance" of the third quarter, we put our 4.6% annual GDP forecast for 2019 under revision, as risks are pointing to the upside." (ANSA).
