Nordic countries, Scholz skeptical of EU visa stop Russians

15 August, 22:43The position of Finland's premier, Sanna Marin, was different, saying that "Russian citizens did not start the war, but at the same time we have to realize that they support it" and "I don't think it is right for Russian citizens to enter the EU and the Schengen area while Russia is killing people in Ukraine." Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen expressed understanding for the Finnish position, adding that she believes the issue should be discussed. Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson called for a common EU approach, saying there are arguments for both positions. The head of the Norwegian government, Jonas Gahr St're, also said it is important to discuss the issue. (ANSA).
