Czech Republic: Babis, recovery plan is 'inadmissible'

Babis, funds should not be paid to heavily indebted countries

(ANSA) - PRAGUE, JUNE 1 - The proposal of the EU commission for the recovery from the coronavirus crisis according to Czech premier Andrej Babis is "inadmissible." According to the prime minister, the recovery plan should not be used to pay money to heavily indebted countries, whose problems have worsened due to the epidemic. "They should first ensure that their situation will improve in the future," he said, underlining that "countries with healthy economies suffer equally and especially all the export-dependent small economies, such as that of the Czech Republic."(ANSA).
