EU19: retail trade falls by 0.6% in July

04 September, 12:39In the eurozone, this drop compared to the previous month is due to a 1% fall in non-food products and 0.3% in food, alcohol, and tobacco, whereas car fuel remained unchanged. The sharpest declines in retail trade were recorded in Croatia (down 3.3%), Germany (down 2.2%) and Belgium (down 1.4%). The largest increases were recorded in Ireland (up 1.9%), Slovenia (up 1.2%), Bulgaria and Malta (both up 1%). Italy's data is not yet available. (ANSA).
