Balkans: 'Berlin Process' meeting opened in Poznan
Summit of heads of state and governments to be held on Friday
04 July, 11:19The highlight of the Poznan meeting is scheduled for today when a summit of the heads of state and governments of the Western Balkan countries will take place. The main leaders of the EU will also attend the summit. A meeting of foreign, interior and economy ministers from all the countries in the region is scheduled, along with a Western EU-Balkans Economic Forum and a Civil Society Forum. Poland, which recently joined the initiative, is holding the presidency of the 'Berlin Process' this year. After the opening event (Berlin, 2014), the following summits took place in Vienna (2015), Paris (2016), Trieste (2017) and London (2018). According to regional media, Bulgaria and North Macedonia will assume the upcoming presidency of the 'Berlin Process'.
