(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - A 70-year-old Italian pensioner was
found dead in her home Friday at least two and a half years
after she died, a medical examiner said Monday.
Marinella Beretta's badly decomposed body was found in a chair
in her living room by fire services.
She lived alone in a villetta in Como and had not been seen
since at least September 2019.
Beretta probably died of a heart attack, the examiner said.
An autopsy has not been ordered and the local council will
probably now have to foot the bill for her funeral.
Living relatives are yet to be found. (ANSA).
