(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, MAY 11 - The Libyan Coast Guard rescued
42 migrants of "African nationality" aboard a rubber dinghy on
which one person was dead and two others were in "bad
condition", said the Facebook page of the Libyan Navy Chief of
Staff late Monday evening.
It said the migrants disembarked in Tripoli and 40 "were taken
into the system for the fight against undocumented migration
ahead of repatriation to their countries of origin".
The Facebook post did not specify the specific Libyan coastal
city off of which the boat was rescued.
Although it didn't specify as such, the post provided details of
the rescue operation already reported on Monday by UNHCR and in
which 23 people went missing.(ANSAmed).
