(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, MAY 10 - The Egyptian foreign ministry
has expressed "condemnation, with the utmost firmness, for the
aggression of worshippers and their expulsion from the site of
the Al-Aqsa mosque", stressing the need for Israel to take
responsibility "for these quick and dangerous developments that
lead to predict new tensions and an escalation", according to a
note published Monday on the Egyptian ministry's Facebook page.
The Egyptian ministry "moreover stressed the need to end all
practices that violate the sanctity of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque,
especially during the holy month of Ramadan, in the respect of
the norms of international law and to guarantee the security of
Palestinian civilians in the mosque" and "in the rest of East
Jerusalem".(ANSAmed).
