Rome must play an active role in
China-EU relations, President Xi Jinping told Premier Giorgia
Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali Wednesday,
according to Chinese TV station CCTV.
In the current circumstances "it is of great importance to
promote stability and long-term development of relations between
China and the EU", Xi told Meloni.
Xi, in the report of the Chinese state network CCTV, said he
hoped that "the Italian side will play an important role in the
EU's adherence to an independent and active policy towards
China".
