Pope Francis on Friday visited
children in a cancer ward at Rome's Gemelli Hospital where he is
recovering from a bronchial infection and is set to be
discharged Saturday.
Francis visited the children in the paediatric oncology ward in
the Agistino Gemelli Hospital, bringing them rosaries, chocolate
eggs and copies of the book "Jesus Was Born in Bethlehem Judea",
papal sources said.
During the visit, which lasted about half an hour, the Pope
imparted the sacrament of baptism to a baby boy, named Miguel
Angel, just a few weeks old. At the end, he returned to his own
ward.
