Universiade: Napoli 2019 documentary to be screened Wednesday

30-minute film shows faces, places, emotions of World Uni Games

(ANSA) - Naples, September 26 - 'Ready for the 30th Summer Universiade NAPOLI 2019', a documentary directed by Francesco Patierno that highlights the faces, places and emotions of World University Games in July, is set to be presented by the Campania Region Film Commission next week.
The 30-minute film shows how the event involved all five of Campania's provinces. It takes a cinematic approach to documenting preparations for the event, via images of the renovated facilities, the arrival of the athletes, the Games torch relay and the views of the people involved, with the regional agency for the Universiade (ARU) and International University Sports Federation FISU making a key contribution. But, above all, the film captures the spirit of the joyful marathon that was the Universiade, made up of human and sporting encounters and which united Campania in commitment and pride to achieving a common goal: to show Italy and the whole world its most beautiful side. The film will be screened to the press on Wednesday October 2 at 12.00 in the Sala De Sanctis of Palazzo Santa Lucia.
Campania Governor Vincenzo De Luca, Universiade Extraordinary Commissioner Gianluca Basile and Director Francesco Patierno will be among the people taking part in the event.
Two screenings will take place later in the day, at 18:00 and 19:00, at the Cinema Metropolitan in Via Chiaia in Naples and they will be open to the public.
