Italian champions Inter Milan on
Wednesday night held Premier League heavyweights Manchester City
to a goalless draw in their Champions League opener after their
narrow loss to the game's hosts in the 2023 final of Europe's
top club competition.
Both teams lost several chances to score as Pep Guardiola's City
were halted by Inter's defence, while Simone Inzaghi's Inter
lacked in finishing.
In another result of Wednesday evening, the match between
Bologna and Shakhtar Donetsk also ended with a goalless draw in
the opening day of the Champions League.
