Juventus's France midfielder Paul
Pogba on Thursday got a potentially career-ending four-year
doping ban.
The former Man Utd player, who turns 31 next month, had tested
positive after the Udinese-Juventus match on 20 August.
Italy's anti-doping court found him guilty of taking a banned
substance.
The National Anti-doping Tribunal (TNA) suspended the Frenchman
in September after he tested positive for "testosterone not of
endogenous origin" regarding a sample he gave after Juve's
opening game of the Serie A season away at Udinese.
The shock news came as the midfielder looked to have been coming
out of a difficult period on both the professional and personal
fronts.
He was dogged by injury problems last season after returning to
Juve from Manchester United and was also the victim of attempted
extortion allegedly involving his brother Mathias.
