Italian athletics federation Fidal
said Wednesday that it has withdrawn Rome's bid to host the 2027
athletics world championships.
The federation said it had sent a letter to World Athletics
President Sebastian Coe informing him of the decision and
acknowledging that the bid did not have the necessary
requirements to be successful
