Italy's Federica Brignone won the
first Women's Ski World Cup giant slalom of the season at Mont
Tremblant in Canada on Saturday.
The 33-year-old from Milan, the only Italian woman to have won
the overall world cup title, this snagged her 22nd career win,
the same tally as another Italian great, Sofia Goggia.
Brignone, with 2.14.95, preceded Slovakian Petra Vlhova in
2.15.16 and American great Mikaela Shiffrin in 2.15.24.
Marta Bassino was sixth and Goggia seventh.
