(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 17 - Inter boss Simone Inzaghi said his side would not get carried away after they thrashed city rivals AC Milan 5-1 on Saturday to take sole command of the Serie A standings and continue their perfect start to the season.
Inter's fifth consecutive derby triumph gives them 12 points from four games, two more than second-placed Juventus, who beat Lazio 3-1 on Saturday.
"We gave a great performance in the derby," Inzaghi said.
"We were focused, scored goals at the right time, those who came on from the bench did well.
"We know that it's nothing. It's just a good start.
"Now we have lots of matches, one after the other, and we have to prepare well".
Milan, who also went into the game with a 100% record, are third with nine points.
Champions Napoli came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at promoted Genoa and salvage a point.
They are currently fifth with seven points ahead of the rest of the weekend's Serie A programme. (ANSA).
