Italy's Sofia Goggia won the weekend's
two downhills at lake Louse taking her overhaul world cup
downhill haul to 14, one of the best of all skiers.
They were the 18th and 19th world cup victories for the
30-year-old from Bergamo.
However, she failed to do the triple at the American course,
coming fifth in the SuperG on Sunday.
Goggia is a two-time Olympic downhill medalist, including gold
at the 2018 Winter Olympics, the first for an Italian woman.
She is a three-time World Cup downhill title winner (2018, 2021,
2022), taking over the mantle from a legend like America's
Lindsay Vonn.
