AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso
got a one-match ban Thursday for insulting the referee in a 1-0
defeat to Juventus in the Italian Super Cup in Jeddah Wednesday.
Gattuso was banned for insulting the ref in a "threatening"
way at the end of the game and then before the medal ceremony
saying "offensive and insinuating words" against him.
The ref was Luca Banti.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the goal that gave Juve its fifth
straight Super Cup and double.
Gattuso will miss AC Milan's game at Genoa at the weekend.
He will also have to pay a 15,000 euro fine.
