Do everything for 2026 Olympics-Salvini

Deputy premier notes that Games 'bring money, investment'

(ANSA) - Rome, September 19 - Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said Wednesday that every effort will be made to land the 2026 Winter Olympics for Italy.
"The Olympics bring lots of money and investment advantages and we will work to get everyone to agree, doing everything possible to have them hosted in Italy," Salvini said.
The regions of Lombardy and Veneto have said they intend to push ahead with a joint Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo bid for the 2026 Games after a plan for a three-way bid also featuring Turin ran aground.
