Italy on Tuesday presented its bids to
host the Einstein Telescope, the most powerful hunter of
gravitational waves ever built, in Sardinia.
Presenting the candidature of the Sos Enattos site in Sardinia
in Rome was the Italian government, with Prime Minister Giorgia
Meloni and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign
Affairs Antonio Tajani.
With them were the Ministers of University and Research Anna
Maria Bernini, Labour and Social Policies Marina Elvira
Calderone, the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister Alfredo
Mantovano, Nobel Prize winner Giorgio Parisi and the Governor of
Sardinia, Christian Solinas.
They said Sardinia was the ideal place to listen to
gravitational waves.
