Cabinet Undersecretary Alfredo
Mantovano on Friday said all security and intelligence services
have been mobilized after France's high-speed rail lines were
reported to have been sabotaged ahead of the opening ceremony of
the Olympic Games in Paris, according to a note issued by the
premier's office.
"Undersecretary Mantovano has informed the council of minister
about the transport situation in France after the recent acts of
vandalism, stressing that all security and intelligence services
are mobilized, but that it is too soon to determine with
certainty who is responsible and the origin of the sabotage",
the statement said.
