(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - Premier Giorgia Meloni expressed
satisfaction on Monday after the European Commission decided to
extend by six months the State aid Temporary Crisis and
Transition Framework, which was aimed at providing a crisis
response following Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the
subsequent increase in energy prices, for some sectors.
"We welcome today's decision by the European Commission to
extend some of the measures under the Temporary Crisis and
Transition Framework for State aid until the end of June 2024,"
Meloni said
"In doing so, the European executive agreed to the request,
brought forward first and foremost by Italy, to allow a gradual,
sustainable end to the support measures adopted by the
Government in recent months". (ANSA).
