Local elections in Sicily will be a
"catastrophe" for the centre left if exit polls and partial
results are confirmed, the centre-left Democratic Party (PD)
said Monday.
"We are waiting for the final results, also out of respect for
the many militants working in the polling stations in Sicily at
the moment. But if the first results were to be confirmed we
would be facing a real electoral catastrophe," Antonio Rubino, a
member of the PD national Directorate, told ANSA.
