A group of six anti-vaxxers were
cited by police Thursday for daubing a 'double V' anti-vax
symbol on school buildings in Turin in recent months.
The group, who wore overalls and wigs in a bid to elude security
cameras and called themselves 'warriors' while communicating
with walkie-talkies to evade phone taps, include teachers and
nurses suspended for their anti-vax stance, unemployed people,
and a beauty salon worker.
They were cited by DIGOS police led by squad leader Carlo Ambra.
The six have no links to far-right or far-left extremist groups,
Ambra said.
"None of them have a criminal record," he told reporters.
They put their VV slogan on two high schools, a middle school,
and a physical education institute in the northwestern Italian
city.
