FdI, League MEPs against, Berlusconi's Forza Italia in favour

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 24 - The main parties supporting Premier Giorgia Meloni's coalition government split on Thursday in a European Parliament vote on Hungary.
MEPS from Meloni's Brothers of Italy (FdI) party and from Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini's League voted against a resolution calling on the European Commission and Council to resist pressure from Hungary and go ahead with adopting the proposed rule of law conditionality measures to suspend EU cohesion funds.
The delegation from ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia (FI) voted in favour.
The resolution passed with 416 votes in favour, 124 against and 33 abstentions. (ANSA).
