Italy "risks" with the
general-election win of rightwing Brothers of Italy (FdI)
candidate but there will be "no leap into extremism" with the
country's first women premier and most rightwing one since WWII,
the Financial Times said Monday.
The New York Times said "Europe is gearing for another shift to
the right" after the FdI leader's victory.
The BBC said "far-right Giorgia Meloni is poised to win the
elections and is set to become the first female premier" while
France Presse's bulletin said Meloni's "post-Fascist" party was
leading the election race.
