Premier Mario Draghi said Tuesday
that his government is ready to take more action to limit the
impact of soaring energy prices on the poorest people in Italy,
on top of the aid already given.
"We allocated 1.2 billion euros in June and over three billion
in September to limit the increases in the short term and help
the poorest families in particular," said Draghi at an event on
making the economy sustainable.
"We are intervening in the (2022) budget law and we are ready to
keep doing so, with particular attention on the weakest groups
(of society)".
