Italy may adopt 'green pass' for night clubs

Sector does not yet have a reopening date

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 18 - Industry Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, said Tuesday that Italy may adopt a green pass system to make it possible for the nation's night clubs to reopen in safety.
Although the government has eased COVID-19 restrictions for many sectors, night venues do not yet have a reopening date.
A green pass certifies that as person has been vaccinated or has recently tested negative for the coronavirus.
"I realise that some sectors have been penalized and the discotheque sector is the most glaring example," said Giorgetti. (ANSA).
