Deputy Premier and Interior
Minister Luigi Di Maio said Tuesday that it was mistaken to view
the approval of some elements in the government's draft budget
as a win for his 5-Star Movement (M5S) and others as a victory
his its coalition partners, the League.
"There is no victory or defeat for anyone," Di Maio told
Radio Radicale.
"(In some newspapers) it has become a soccer match which,
according to some, the M5S has won and, according to others, the
League has".
A key issue in this regard is the plan for a 'fiscal peace'
to help people with end disputes with the tax authorities.
The plan will be open to people with disputes of up to
100,000 euros, rather than the ceiling of one million that the
League wanted.
