The Ambassador of Italy to Ecuador, Giovanni Davoli, inaugurated in Quito the third edition of 'Passione Italia', the 'vivere all'italiana' festival organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Ecuador (Ccie), a member of Assocamerestero.
This year's festival was attended by more than 50 commercial sponsors, importers of Italian products in the fields of gastronomy, technology, handicrafts and the automotive industry. Over 2,000 people attended the event, which took place throughout the day on Saturday, 7 September and included artistic performances and sports activities.
Ambassador Davoli thanked the Ccie for the iconic event, which every year reaffirms the deep closeness between the two countries and the attraction of the Ecuadorian people towards the Italian lifestyle. He then emphasised that trade between the two countries is growing steadily: with an increase of 14%, in 2024, Italy positioned itself as Ecuador's leading supplier among the countries of the European bloc. Finally, he reaffirmed the Italian government's commitment to supporting the Ecuadorian government's fight against organised crime. 'Without security there is no possible development,' recalled Davoli.
