Isabella Rossellini missed out on the
best supporting actress Oscar at the Academy Awards on Sunday,
after being nominated for her portrayal of a strong-willed nun
in Conclave, Edward Berger's adaptation of the Robert Harris
thriller on cardinal conspiracy.
The gong instead went to Zoe Saldana for her performance in
Emilia Perez.
Set decorator Cynthia Sleiter also failed to get an Oscar on the
best production design category for her work on Conclave,
meaning Italy came away empty handed from the awards.
